1. Who we are

SpeechCue Timer is made by MSP Ventures Inc., 3015 SW 20th St., Miami, FL 33145, USA. Contact us at support@simpleplaypro.com. This policy covers the SpeechCue Timer app for iPad. It doesn't cover our other apps or this website, which have their own policy (see section 6).

2. What stays on your iPad

The app saves your settings on your iPad only: the skin, background colour, text size, warning time, pulse and stop-at-zero choices, the sync show code and the name you give your iPad, your recently used emoji, and a random ID that lets your own iPads recognise each other when syncing. Timer times, quick times and messages are kept in memory while the app is open and aren't kept after it's closed. None of this is sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it.

3. Sync between iPads

Sync is off until you turn it on. When it's on, the app uses Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework to find other iPads nearby that use the same show code, and connects to them directly over Wi-Fi, peer-to-peer Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The connection is encrypted.

It carries only the show: the countdown, the message on the speaker display, Zap, quick times, saved messages, text size and the warning settings, plus the name you gave your iPad so the others can list it. Nothing passes through the internet or our servers.

The first time you turn sync on, iPadOS asks for permission to use the local network. Sync only works if you allow it, and you can turn it off at any time in the app or in Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.

4. What we don't do

• We don't collect personal information, usage data, diagnostics or device identifiers.
• The app has no accounts, advertising, analytics or third-party code that collects data.
• We don't track you across apps or websites, and we don't sell or share data, because we have none.

5. Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.

6. This website

Visiting simpleplaypro.com, including these SpeechCue Timer pages, is covered by our website and SimplePlay Pro X privacy policy, which explains the site's analytics and cookie settings.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
